One of the leading aspirant of the gubernatorial race to the Katsina state government house under the APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Tsauri popularly known as Umar tata has reveal his plans in repositioning the state and bring an end to the perennial security challenges bedeviling the state and the North West part of the country in general. Alhaji Umar Tata made this revelation in a chat with our correspondent in Zaria on Monday.

He added that, it was the unending security threat to the life and property of the citizens of the state that motivate him to offer himself to run for the seat of the governor of the state, “ While some people are joining politics to actualize various goals, mine is purely to emancipate our people form the bondage of numerous problems they facing them which has roots to the general insecurity in the state. My 2 point agenda I have for Katsina state includes the need to ‘Secure the state’ and ‘Rebuild the state’  he said.

I will first of all establish a ministry that would cater for internal security with a commissioner as head, I would also create a border patrol department meant to secure crisis ridden and hot spot parts of the state, most especially local governments that are having borders with Kaduna and Zamfara states” he said.

Alhaji Umar Tata also explain that, as part of his plan to relieve citizens of the state of the burdens they are facing as a result of the numerous security challenges, he plan to set up a department of Internal security surveillance and maintenance and a committee on land and compensation and also that of refugee control, displacement and resettlement.

The governorship aspirant also hint of his plans to roll out an amnesty packaged for repentant terrorists and a plan to integrate them back into the society, “This would be actualize with my plans to create a situation to boost the electricity source of the state by establishing a power station in Daura Emirate meant to provide 350 megawatts with fueling from the Niger Republic, raising all my transmission light’. And create an Industrial development zone which would in turns solve all the unemployment problems our youths and facing’ he said

Alhaji Umar Tata explains that he hopes to actualize most of these in the first year of his assumption of office if elected.
